AIM
To
find out the relationship between different shuttlecocks shooter with distance
travel by the shuttlecock.
HYPOTHESIS
Chair
catapult shooter shoots the shuttlecock further.
APPARATUS
Different
Shuttlecock shooter, Goose feather shuttlecock, Measuring Tape, Coloured powder
VARIABLES
MANIPULATED VARIABLE : Shuttlecock shooter
RESPONDING VARIABLE : Distance it travelled
CONSTANT VARIABLE : Type of shuttlecock
PROCEDURES
1. Table catapult shuttlecock shooter was set up.
2. A shuttlecock was dipped in the colored powder.
3. Shutttlecock was shot using the table catapult
shooter.
4. The distance traveled by shuttlecock measured by
measuring tape.
5. Procedures 1 – 4 was repeated 3 times to take the
average measurement.
6. Procedure 1-5 was repeated with chair catapult shooter
and rat trap shooter.
7. Data was recorded.

Discussion
The shuttlecock travels 4.68m by using table catapult
shooter. And in chair catapult shooter the shuttlecock travels 4.93m. While,
using rat trap shooter the shuttlecock travels 1.68m. The stainless steel
shooter shoots the shuttlecock 1.39m further. Although chair catapult shooter
shoots the shuttlecock furtherst, it is not a suitable device to use for this
experiment because the flight of shuttlecock should be only in between 3 meters.
Conclusion
Rat
trap and stainless steel shooter the most
suitable device to shoot shuttlecocks.
